Where does strawberry flavoured milk come from?
Yesterday we found out!
We played a game where you had to earn money to buy a milkshake.

In groups of three we made our own houses. We all had jobs to do so we could earn enough money to buy a milkshake at the end of the game.
Some of us were farmers. We got paid to milk a cow and pick strawberries.
Others worked in the milkshake factory. We bought milk and strawberries from the farm and turned it into flavoured milk.
Ten there was shop keepers we sold the milk in our shop.

Everyone earned $3, but out of this we had to pay for electricity for our houses and petrol for our cars so we could get to work and to the shop to buy a milkshake.

By the end of the game we only had $1 left! Just enough to buy a milk shake!

We made these rangoli patterns by sprinkling coloured sand onto a template.

Making Monsters Lunch

We have been learning to make predictions as we read.

We had to make predictions based on what we already know from reading the story.
We know that Monster had worms in his lunch box, therefore what else do you think he has in there?

First we created Monsters lunch box.
Then we described the food inside.
Then we wrote about it.

Bike Day at Tamaki Primary School

Thank you Mike Greer for our wonderful new bikes and a big thank you to Tamaki Regeneration Project, Bike Hub, Our Local Police, Auckland Transport and our parents for putting on an amazing day for us.

Today is Bike Day. We did bike day in the shed. At bike day there was cookies and milo. We could make badges and we could colour in pictures and we can ride the new bikes around the track. When everybody was finished we all went to class.

You have to go to the lego bike, then the people count to 50 then you have to go and get some milo and cookies. Then while you are drinking milo and cookies you should sit down on a chair and I had fun.
