Room 3 Stars On The Big Screen
3 SHORT MOVIES from Tamaki Primary on Vimeo.
We decided to make our own movies for the Manaiakalani Film Festival.
First we had to write a story to turn into a movie. We were working in groups so we had to do lots of talking to share our ideas.
Then we planned the filming of our movie using a storyboard.
Some of us made costumes. That was fun and really messy.
Then we filmed the movies. We had to make sure we didn't cut off peoples heads or shake the ipad.
We liked using the green screen, Lagi even made an animation using explain everything.
We hope you enjoy our movies!

Our First Week of Fun
Welcome to Room 3's Blog
2018!
What an exciting week!
The Stick Family House
We have found the Stick Family House, right here in a beautiful tree at Tamaki Primary school. On Tuesday we read Stick Man
by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
We went looking for sticks to make our own Stick Men. As we looked for sticks we stumbled across the Stick Family House up high in a tree.

It was tricky attaching the arms, legs and eyes, to create our own Stick Men, but we showed Whanaungatanga by helping each other. We decided to see if our Stick Men floated like Stick Man in the story, and sure enough they did.
We wrote letters to the Stick Family to tell them about our own holiday adventures. We popped them in an envelope and placed them at the bottom of the tree for the Stick Family to find.
You can imagine our surprise when we discovered they were missing. In their place was a reply from the Stick Family saying how much they enjoyed reading our letters to their stick children.
The letter said:
Dear Room 3
Thank you for your letters.
Stick Lady Love and I loved reading them to our stick children.
Your adventures during the holiday sounded fun.
Please write to us again soon.
Love From
The Stick Family
