Today we received a letter from Jack. Inside the letter was some magic bean seeds.

We planted ours and made a wish.

We then shared the rest of the beans with our friends in other classes. We wrote letters to tell them how to plant the magic beans.

Teu's Bird House

 

Teu created an amazing bird house out of recycled materials. She made some sugar water with Mariaola to put inside the bird house to attract birds to our school garden.

 We made a book about the garden.

 Today at school we made sandmen and a bug hotel to attract insects to our school garden.

First Day Back At Schook

 Today was our first day at part-time school. We saw our friends Yvonne, Anna, Miss Sherina and Koka Anahira on Google Meet. We did phonics and reading. Then we had a play with lego and made boats. 

After morning tea we went to go into the garden to look for habitats and we discovered our garden is all over grown! All our little seedlings have turned into massive vegetables! We pulled up giant crazy carrots. Then we wrote about what they looked like. 

We finished our day by doing yoga.

Our newest member of Room 2!

Today a snail joined our online class. We found him in Miss Gormly's vegetable garden. We looked at him carefully and watched him slide along. He had feelers and a shell to protect him from birds. Birds are predators!

We write amazing stories about him.

We put him back outside but he didn't want to go and climbed back inside the door.

He wants to be in Room 2 too!
